BRAND STORY

The name Costas is of Greek and Latin origin which means “constant, steadfast”. Aiming to inspire its customers to focus on building capsule wardrobe, Studio Costas only releases a limited number of styles per collection quarterly and focuses on timeless pieces that are easy to match.

We needed the brand to reflect simplicity and timelessness, while also infusing the calm and warm Mediterranean vibes.

INSPIRATIONS

With that Mediterranean vibe in mind, We took inspiration from the Mediterranean islands and I was really inspired by the charming cyclades architecture of Greek villas. The arch shape from the villa architecture ties back to the brand story and adds a unique touch to the brand. We explored ways to incorporate the arch shape into the branding. One of them is the brand mark as seen below.

COLOR PALETTE

Inspired by the sea and the warmth of Mediterranean villa interiors. We wanted Costas palette to be minimal and timeless.

BRAND IMPLEMENTATION

Being a direct-to-consumer company, Studio Costas rely a lot on its online presence to engage with its customers. Social media plays a really important role in the company’s marketing efforts. We create simple yet “on-brand” templates for Studio Costas to promote its new collection each season.

Sustainability is a huge part of the brand. Studio Costas is committed to use the most sustainable materials from farm to factory. Behind the scenes of the manufacturing process are often shared on its social media platform, so customers can see how each collection comes to life.

For brand collaterals, Studio Costas only uses recyclable materials to reduce waste.

We opt for scrap materials for the clothing tag and use recycled paper for product care guide cards and collection booklets.
